Leeds United supporter attacked British Transportation Police officer at Middlesbrough station

. Johnson saw this, ran across and stamped on among the officer's backs, before running off across the station.The officer leapt up off the flooring, went after Johnson and arrested him.Johnson, 26, of Allenby Crescent, Leeds, confessed assaulting an officer and

ownership of cocaine.He was ordered to pay ₤ 1,254 when he was sentenced at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates'Court on March 15. Sergeant Bob Smith, of BTP, stated: "The behaviour of Johnson and

the group he was with was absolutely disgraceful and need to have been incredibly frightening for other fans, guests and personnel on the train and at the station. "The group, who were high on drugs and beverage, were intent on a fight and after at first targeting other guests they then switched on officers. "Fortunately the officer didn't sustain any major injuries however the force used by Johnson to mark on his back whilst he was aiming to restrain and jail a violent male might have rather quickly triggered severe and long-term damage to his back and spinal column."
