Mitcham male who used innocent taxi driver to transport a handgun and bullets is imprisoned

A Mitcham guy who utilized an innocent motorist to carry a weapon and bullets has actually been imprisoned.

Sebastien Hajda of The Drive, Mitcham and his accomplice Tomasz Mysiak of Quantock Court, Greenford were each imprisoned for eight years on conspiracy to supply a firearm and ammunition following a hearing at Kingston Crown Court.

The court heard that in April 2017, a taxi driver was gotten in touch with by Mysiak, who was understood to him, asking for him to collect a package from an address in The Drive.

The driver got here in the location later that evening where police observed him being offered a plastic bag including a box by another guy, which he put in the boot of the taxi.

The car was stopped and searched by officers who discovered the package which consisted of a handgun and 137 rounds of 0.32 caliber ammo.

The chauffeur was apprehended however described to the satisfaction of officers that he was an innocent party and been asked to participate in the area by Mysiak and did not understand what was inside the package.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Paul Hawthorn, of the Met’s Serious and Organised Crime Command, stated: “We’re really satisfied to have actually secured this decision against 2 guys who conspired to use an innocent male to carry a firearm and a big quantity of compatible ammo.

“Even more importantly, we’re pleased to have removed another weapon from London’s streets.
